Katherine was born in Philadelphia in 1932 and remained a lifelong proud Philadelphian until her passing at age 92. After meeting her future husband Wayne while working at Markovitz Brothers Hosiery, they married in 1959 and started their adventure that lasted over 62 years. During her busy life as a military spouse and beyond, she was known for her generosity, empathy, and cleverness. Katherine was a dedicated wife, loving mother, supportive sister and aunt, and amazing woman.
A visitation for Katherine will be held Friday, August 18, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 5121 Woodland Way, Annandale, VA 22003, followed by a mass of christian burial from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Katherine's memory to Capital Caring or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
