Kathleen M. Lamm

The Lord’s humble servant, mother, and teacher, Kathy was born to Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Riordan in Buffalo, NY, on 14 December 1955. A 1973 graduate of Hamburg High School, Hamburg, New York, she earned a BA in Biochemistry in 1977 from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. She married Lieutenant David W. Lamm in December 1977 and was a devoted Army wife during a 28-year military career. She was widely recognized for her volunteer service to the Catholic Church, Boys Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the Mount Vernon High School. She earned a Master’s in Education from George Mason University and taught in Fairfax County, VA. She passed to eternal life at her home after a long battle with cancer. Mrs. Lamm is survived by her husband, David, and her children, William (his wife Kathy), Jennifer, Michael, John, and James.

Family will receive friends on Monday June 25, 2012 during the hours of 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Rd. Springfield. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 26 at the Woodlawn Chapel Fort Belvoir at 10:30AM. Final interment will be at S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Hamburg, NY on Friday.
