Magdalena Parrish

Mrs. Magdalena Parrish (known to her friends as “Maggie”), age 76, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax VA. She was born January 9, 1939 in Heidenfeld Germany, to the late Ferdinand and Johanna (Reigler) Seuling. Magdalena met her beloved husband, the late Lexie Calvin Parrish Jr., (during his service as an Infantry Soldier) in Swienfurt Germany. Magdalena took the Citizenship test in 1969 to become a U.S. Citizen and was very proud of both countries, she was a true American. Together they raised four adoring children, Carolina H. Allison, Robert F. Parrish, Karen J. Shiflette, and the late Monroe F. Parrish. She is also survived by seven cherished grandchildren, one sister, Hannelore Kolb, and three brothers, Emil, Helmuth, and Friedhelm Seuling.

Funeral services for Magdalena will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Demaine Funeral Home Chapel, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151. The Parrish family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will take place in Arlington Nation Cemetery at a later date.
