Maria Carlota Orellano

Maria, also known by her closest friends as “Maruja”, was born in Callao, a Peruvian seaside city in Lima, Peru, to Carlos Orellano and Juana Miranda on September 11, 1940. She graduated with an Associate Degree from CSAM - Instituto Tecnologico. She retired at age 62 from the The World Bank Legal Department where she worked as Senior Executive Assistant for about 30 years.

Maruja is preceded in death by her brother, Ricardo Orellano and by her parents, Carlos Orellano and Juana Miranda.

Maria is survived by two brothers and one sister.

Her funeral services will be held at 13.30hrs on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at St. Raphaela Center, 616 Coopertown Road, Haverford, PA. Father Dan Joyce will be officiating the service. Her ashes will rest there.
