
She worked for 25 years with the State of New Jersey Health Department before retiring to Port Orange, Florida with her late husband, Henry J. Collins.
Music played a significant role throughout Marilyn’s life, and she participated in many singing groups. One of her favorite choral experiences was singing and performing with the Sweet Adelines’ “Heart of Daytona” group while living in Florida. Other social groups she belonged to after moving to Tennessee were the Spring Hill Senior Citizens Club and the Red Hat Society. Her hobbies included playing card games and MahJong with her many friends.
Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Henry J. Collins.
She is survived by son Keith (Catherine) Collins of Clifton, VA and their children; grandson Christian (Erin) Collins of Haymarket, VA and their children Julia, Jack and Nicholas; grandson Jared (Erica) Collins of Chantilly, VA and their children Cole, Leighton and Bennett. In addition, she is survived by son, Brian (Carolyn) Collins of Thompson Station, TN and their children; grandson Kyle (Carmen) Collins of Collierville, TN and their daughter, Peyton; grandson, Jason Collins of Chicago, IL.
