Maxine A. Marshall

Born on September 15, 1925, in Elkin, NC. She was predeceased in death by her parents, two brothers, Gene and Dale Aldridge, and husband of 67 years, Ralph Marshall.

Maxine graduated from Elkin High School after which she attended High Point College earning a BS in Business Administration. It was during her college years that she met the love of her life, Ralph Marshall. Maxine and Ralph were married in 1948.

After moving to Springfield VA and starting a family, Maxine earned her teaching degree. She taught in both private and public schools retiring from Fairfax County in 1983.

Maxine and Ralph enjoyed a wonderful life together traveling the world and meeting various VIP’s and celebrities through Ralph’s work. In 2015, they became residents at the Greenspring Retirement community in Springfield, VA. Maxine has left behind many dear friends at Greenspring who will miss her smile, her laugh and most of all her humor.

Maxine was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by two sons, Kirk, Brad and wife Robin; four grandchildren, Cody, Jason, Brittany, and Jeffrey; five great-grandchildren, Ainsley, Sawyer, Killian, Wesley and Camden; two nephews, Chip and husband Wayne, Gambill and wife Amy and their daughter Emma Grace.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Student Scholars’ Fund at Greenspring.
