
He had a long and full life. He was a man of faith, kindness and integrity. He was a good husband to his wife of seventy-two years, Lois, a good father and grandfather, a good friend, a good neighbor and a good physician. Ross was an avid golfer and enjoyed travel, sports and photography. He was active in his local Presbyterian church and a variety of medical and civic organizations.
Ross was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 6, 1924; and was a graduate of the College of Wooster and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. During World War II he served as a bombardier in a B 24 stationed in Italy. He practiced medicine for many years at St. Margaret's Memorial Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he was the head of the Radiology Department. In retirement, he and his wife spent summers in Pittsburgh and winters in Bonita Springs, Florida. In recent years, the couple resided in the Ashby Ponds retirement community in Ashburn, Virginia.
Ross was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara, and is survived by his wife, Lois, son Bruce, daughter-in-law, Laura, and grandchildren, Margaret and Holly.
