

Of Springfield, VA, Was called home to rest on Friday, May 19 at age 46. He is survived by his beloved wife of twenty years, Michelle Littell; sons Austin Orsinger & his wife Alisa; Mike Johnson and his favorite son, T-Bone; his parents Michael and Ann Stubbs; In-laws Debbie and Ralph Littell; sisters Elizabeth (Bill), Loriann (Mike), and Annmarie (Steve); brother in-law and best friend, Steve Littell; nieces Kaitlyn, Mia, and Melissa; nephews Jonathon and Dalton; and Uncle Joe; as well as Michelle’s extended family which includes Aunts, Uncle’s, cousins and their children.
Sam met his beautiful wife Michelle in 1999. Sam took Michelle on their first date to Bugsy’s in Old Town Alexandria. During this date they both fell in love. Sam and Michelle spent the next 20+ years enjoying football games, riding motorcycles and spending time with friends and family.
Sam’s career began working for LF Jennings in the late 90’s as a bricklayer apprentice. After winning the regional apprenticeship competition and competing nationally in Las Vegas. Sam worked his way through the ranks of bricklayer, and ultimately becoming a Masonry Forman for the company. After a 20-year career with LF Jennings Sam decided to Join the HITT family. Sam joined HITT Construction in 2018 as a Superintendent. Sam spent the next 4 years with HITT in the Tech sector building data centers and learning the commissioning side of industry. While learning the inner workings of data halls in the data centers in he was building, he excelled in the civil / sitework side of building data centers his prior experience pushing “Dirt” from his years with LF Jennings. Sam dedicated his life to his family, friends and job. He lived to love and to make sure everyone he surrounded himself with had a smile.
Sam’s passion was riding, he was on his bike every chance he got. He’ll forever be remembered as a caring, helpful guy, and will be terribly missed.
As we say good-bye to Sammy, always remember “and this one time at band camp”
Join us to remember Sam on Saturday, June 3 from 1-3 pm at Demaine Funeral Home, Springfield, where a service will begin at 2 pm. Following the service, the family will celebrate Sam at Kilroy’s.
(5250a Port Royal Rd. Springfield, VA 22151) with food, drinks, and remembrances. Anyone who is attending is welcome to ride their bikes.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Sam’s memory to Melanoma awareness or Vindicated Pit Bull Rescue.
