

Reverend Andrew Boyce was born on February 2, 1931 in Lilbourne, Missouri to Velma Love and Seanes Boyce, Sr.. Both preceded him in death. He was the youngest of five boys; his brothers preceded him in death (Pastor Seanes Boyce, Pastor Roosevelt Boyce, Reverend James Boyce and Raymond).
Reverend Boyce attended the Wyatt school system and served in the United States Army - Korean War from 1951-1955.
He was joined in holy matrimony to his devoted, life-long partner and first lady, Thelma Boyce on July 21, 1956. She preceded him in death. To this union was born four children, Ray, Andrea Jean, Valerie and Tammie. He was a father to granddaughter Paula and great grandson Aeneas. He was the stepfather to five children (Pauline, Anna Bell, Doris, Alphonso and Shirley) who all preceded him in death.
Reverend Boyce joined the Olivet M.B. Church under the tutelage and leadership of the late Reverend Dr. R.T. Davis. He became an active member of the male chorus, Baptist Training Unit and more. He was ordained as a minister and pastored his first church in 1962. Reverend Boyce pastored several churches in the St. Louis area and became the "preacher of preachers" as he took a number of ministers under his wing. Before his retirement, he pastored Nazarene M.B. Church for 23 years. His love and passion for ministry was evident, even in his final days.
After a long-term illness, he transitioned to glory quietly at home with his daughter/caregiver by his side. He leaves to cherish and celebrate his life: 5 children, Ray (Gail), Jean (Ray), Valerie, Tammie and Andrew Boyce, Jr.and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He will forever be remembered for his service in ministry. His song "When You Hear My Homegoing" will always resound in our hearts.
A visitation will be held for Reverend Andrew Boyce on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, 12200 New Halls Ferry Road, Florissant, MO 63033 with a funeral service following at 12:00 PM.
A committal service will be held at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd, St.Ann, MO 63074.
