

Andrew Willis Clark was born May 29, 1944, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Judge Clark and Margaret Pennywell. At an early age, Andrew knew and understood the importance of family.
Andrew is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. Lukey and Cora Pennywell, his parents, Mrs. Margaret J. Byrd, his stepfather, R.E. Byrd, and his father, Judge Clark. He is also preceded in death by his son, Troy D. Clark, his granddaughter, Chloe C. Clark, and his three best friends, Mac Taylor, Lionel Walker, and Hershey Johnson.
Andrew was a graduate of Grambling State University where he met his lovely wife, Jessie Finley. Andrew and his wife moved to St. Louis, Missouri to pursue his teaching career and this is where he graduated with his master’s degree at Webster University.
Andrew was wed in holy matrimony to Jessie Finley in 1972 and to this union a son and daughter were born, Andrew W. Clark Jr. and Anjelena Clark.
Andrew worked as a high school social studies teacher at Eskridge High School in Wellston School District. Andrew also worked for St. Louis County Family Court as a deputy juvenile officer and detention center supervisor. He retired from both Wellston School District and the St. Louis County Family Court. Andrew was a hard worker and was always there to help and support anyone he truly cared for. Andrew was understanding of others, helpful, and dedicated. His family and friends describe him as “a guy for every man”. He was a God-fearing man and a kindhearted person who loved his family and friends and was loved by many that knew him.
Andrew leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jessie, two children, Andrew and Anjelena, six grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, dedicated family and loving friends.

A visitation will be held in Andrew's honor on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd, St. Ann, MO 63074. Funeral service will follow at 11:30 at the same location. Committal will be held immediately after the service at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd, St. Ann, MO 63074.
