Nelson, Anthony “Tony” went to heaven on Thursday, Dec.11, 2014. Tony was adventurous, full of fun, and created contagious laughter with anyone he was around. He was optimistic, generous, hardworking, and dedicated. He never met a stranger and was an avid animal enthusiast. Though with us for too short a time, Tony lived his life making memories with those he loved and will not be forgotten.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Karen (nee Hill) Nelson; mother, Jean C. Nelson; sisters, Pamela (David) Smith, Laurie Cross Fink, Nancy Nelson; step mother-in-law, Virginia Hill; and his adored nieces and nephews to whom he was a devoted and loving uncle over the years.
Tony is preceded in death by his father, Kelly Jack Nelson; father in law, Marvin Leo Hill; mother in law, Dorothy Ann Hill; brothers in law, Michael Boyd Brandmeyer and Steven Mark Hill; and nephews, Kent Cross and Matthew Cross.
A celebration of Tony’s life will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 10-2 in the East Chapel at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home. Service will be at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Association of America.
