

Bette lived a life rich with love, laughter, and cherished moments. An avid golfer and darts enthusiast, she spent many joyful hours perfecting her game and sharing her passions with friends and family. As an ardent animal lover, her compassionate nature extended to all creatures great and small, bringing a sense of warmth and kindness to all who knew her.
Bette is preceded in death by her beloved husband Gary Cross, her dear parents, Ervin and Dorothy Stopke, and her great-grandson, Welker Vaugh. Her memory will be forever treasured by her surviving family: her daughter Denise (Don) Mikesch, her sons Mike (Donna) Meyer and Robert Meyer, and her grandchildren Nic (Pedro) Surillo, Kristen (Zach) Vaugh, Adam (Kaila) Mikesch, Joe (Alexandria) Mikesch, and Melissa (Tyler) Dawidowski.
She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Landon, Kyler, Cooper, Grey, Adi, Kaiden, Lucas, Nora, and Ava, who will carry forward her legacy of love and joy.
Bette loved her friends and family dearly. She touched countless hearts, loved with every fiber of her being, and made connections everywhere she went. Bette will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

A visitation for Bette will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander White Mullen Funeral home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, Missouri 63074. Family and friends can also visit at the same location on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with a service at 11:00 AM. Burial will occur immediately after the service at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 11101 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, Missouri 63074.
