Carol Sue Albin

Carol was born on March 29, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert and Virginia (Lackey) Annan. She married the love of her life, Edward Albin, Jr. on June 16, 1973, and they enjoyed 20 years of marriage together before his passing in 1993.

After earning her degree in Education from Southeast Missouri State College in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Carol led a life dedicated to teaching. After retiring, she continued to work as a substitute teacher for the Special School District of St. Louis County, as well as for the Kirkwood, Lindbergh, and Webster School Districts.

She had an infectious smile and laugh that endeared all who knew her. Carol loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and close friends. She was a faithful woman of God who loved Jesus and led by example.

Carol was preceded in death by both of her parents; her beloved husband, Edward Albin, Jr.; her sister, Sandra Wehner; her father-in-law, Edward Albin, Sr.; and her mother-in-law, Catherine (Speiser) Albin.

Carol is survived by her children: Jennifer (Tony) Checki and Scott (Claire) Albin; grandchildren: Noah Dowell, Ava Dowell, Charlotte Dowell, Calvin Albin, and Sydney Albin; sister: Bonnie O’Connell.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Southgate Church’s “Justice Fund,” which supports several outreach ministries, including their widows’ ministry that she was blessed by for so many years.

A visitation for Carol will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 2:00-3:00 PM, followed immediately by a service at Southgate Church, 9820 East Watson Road, Crestwood, MO 63126.
