Carrie was born in Corinth, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Atteberry and her grandson Mike Prosser.
Carrie is survived by her daughters Debbie Ahner and Peggy Krebs; her grandchildren Rebecca Prosser, John (Casey) Krebs; her great-grandchildren Alaina Krumm, Jessie Krumm, Kaylin Krumm, Tyler Comte, Jacob Comte, Jamie Prosser, Meagan Prosser, Jack Krebs, Maddie Krebs and Taylor Krebs; and her great-great grandchildren Savannah Hollinger and Greyson Corley; her siblings Milton (Leota) Wroten and Lea James. Dear aunt, great-aunt, great-great aunt cousin and friend to many.
Carrie loved the Lord first and foremost and was a walking example of Jesus. Her devotion was to her family. She cherished her little dog "Peetie" who was always by her side. She was an amazing cook and loved to feed her people. She was a "second Momma" to many through the years. Carrie dearly loved being with family, caring and spoiling her grandchildren, and time with friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to in Carrie's honor to Stray Rescue.
A visitation for Carrie will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074. A funeral service will occur after visitation at 2:00 PM at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home. A committal service will immediately follow the service at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074.
