

Darlene Adele Reynolds, age 92, of Imperial, Missouri passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 4, 2023. One of five children, Darlene was born August 22, 1931, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Paul and Lavina (nee Tebbenhoff) Turnquist. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Art Reynolds, an infant son, Walter, and her siblings.
After a very full life, she leaves behind a beautiful legacy of a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Those left behind to cherish her memories include her children, Douglas (Judy) Reynolds, Christine Arnall, and Gayle Moser. She was a loving grandmother to her seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Darlene consistently offered support to those in need and cherished her numerous “adopted” children and grandchildren.
Darlene loved entertaining her family for birthdays and holidays. She enjoyed reading and traveled extensively with her friends. In her professional life, Darlene dedicated over 40 years of service to St. Louis Eye Clinic before retiring at the age of 80. Even into her 70’s, Darlene spent many weekends working for a catering company.
Darlene will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering love, and the joy she brought into the lives of others. Her presence will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A graveside service for Darlene will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, from 2:30 PM at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 11101 St Charles Rock Rd, Saint Ann, MO 63074. Family and Friends are invited to meet in the lobby at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home between 2:00 PM- 2:15 PM at the same location. Following the service there will be a light meal served back at the funeral home.
