Donald H. Jansen

Donald Henry Jansen passed away on April 18, 2013 at the age of 76. He was born to the late Henry Alphonse Jansen and the late Theresa Rose (nee Koerkenmeier) Jansen on June 7, 1936 in Breese, Illinois. He was married to Susan (nee Grieve) Jansen at St. Blase.

Father of Eric (girlfriend Peggy Boettcher) Jansen, Sharon (Calvin) Cox, Scott (girlfriend Deanna Dunbar) Jansen, and Mitchell (fiance Jessye Chandler) Jansen; grandfather to Nick Cox, Cari Cox, Lisa Cox, Elaine Cox, Julie Jansen, Theresa Jansen, Jessika Jansen, and Mark White; great grandfather to Taylor Flanigan, Collin Flanigan, Lauren Giesler, Nick Giesler, Sophia Labruyure, and Logan Labruyure.

Donald was one of twelve childen. Brother to Ralph (Delores) Jansen, James (Emma) Jansen, Robert (Theresa) Jansen, Victor (Ruth) Jansen, Francis (Gloria) Jansen, and Eileen Detmer. Brother-in-law to Marilyn Jansen.

He was preceded in death by his father Henry Alphonse Jansen, his mother Theresa Rose (nee Koerkenmeier) Jansen, his brother David Jansen, his sister Delores (Norbert) Ripperda, his brother Alphonse (Henrietta) Jansen, his sister Alice (Chris) Kohrs, and his brother-in-law Louie Detmer.

Donald was a remodeling and rehab handyman. He was member of Zion Lutheran Church in Maryland Heights and Maplewood Moose Lodge. He was also a former member of Knights of Columbus.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 21 from 3-7pm at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Ann. Another visitation will be on on Monday, April 22 from 10-11am at Zion Lutheran Church, 12075 Dorsett Road, Maryland Heights. Funeral service will Monday, April 22 at 11am at Zion Lutheran Church. Private cremation will follow.
