

Doris Jean Guenther, age 88, of Florissant, Missouri passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 surrounded by her family. Doris was born November 20, 1933 to William and Pauline (Morris) Thompson whom have preceded her in death along with her beloved husband of 67 years, Frank Guenther.
Doris is survived by her loving children Patricia (Walter) Thompson, Sharon (Jeff) Kittelson, Christine (Cary) Miller, William “Bill” Guenther and Angela Guenther. She also leaves behind her sister Judy (Kenneth) Bescancenz, her grandchildren, Scott (Saita) and Keith Thompson, Jaron, Noelle, Michelle and April Kittelson, Justin (Allee) Miller, Amanda and Jennifer Miller, Michael and Jack Guenther and two great grandchildren, Morgan and Jameson Miller.
Doris spent thirteen years helping to educate children as a teacher’s assistant at McCurdy school in the Hazelwood school district. She spent time volunteering at the Special Olympics. She also volunteered at the Blue Rose and Valley Industries Thrift stores whose proceeds benefit children with special needs. Doris had many hobbies which included crocheting, knitting, needlepoint, reading, Chinese Checkers, Sudoku and gardening. She was known for her green thumb and loved her flower gardens. Doris was a devote Catholic, dedicated wife and amazing mother/grandmother.
Donations may be made in Doris’ name to the Special Olympics Missouri Jefferson City, Missouri or to Valley Industries 143 James S. McDonnell Blvd Hazelwood, Missouri.

A visitation for Doris will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Alexander - White - Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, Missouri. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10:30 AM with an additional visitation from 10:00 AM- 10:30 AM. at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 1765 Charbonier Rd, Florissant, Missouri, with burial immediately following the service at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5200 Lucas and Hunt Road, St. Louis, MO.
