George Papadopoulos

GEORGE PAPADOPOULOS passed away peacefully on March 7, 2013. Dear son of the late George and Laura (Rojas) Papadopoulos, he was born in New York City, New York. He was preceded in death one month ago by his wife of nearly 60 years, Teresa Papadopoulos. He is survived and dearly missed by his daughter, Rosemarie (Kenneth) LaVallee, and two sons, Michael Papadopoulos and Steven (Donna) Papadopoulos. Cherished Grandpa of Katherine LaVallee and Grandfather to Jason and Nicholas Papadopoulos.

An Air Force Veteran, he served honorably in the Korean War 1951-1955.

George moved with his family to Missouri to work with McDonnell Douglas, retiring in 1987.

George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. The family deeply acknowledges the love and friendship given to George and Teresa through the years by the entire Ruiz family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.The family also expresses their thanks to the entire staff of Delmar Gardens North for the kind and exceptional care provided.

Services: Visitation Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Alexander White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann, Missouri.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. Matthias the Apostle Catholic Church in Mehlville.

Internment will follow at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, where George and Teresa will be together once again.
