Harold Sizemore

SIZEMORE, Harold Leon, 86, born June 7, 1928 and passed away January 24, 2015. Son of the late William and Eula (nee Brooks) Sizemore, brother of the late Omer Dale and Richard Leroy Sizemore; beloved husband of the love of his life, the late June C. (nee Abbott) Sizemore; loving father of Vicki (Dwan) Pinkley and Michael Sizemore; grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather of Sean and Kori Pinkley, Autumn, Jared, and Greta Pinkley; Matt and Jessica Sizemore, Ryan, Jacob and Jasmine and baby Aubree Sizemore, Tyler and Ava Sizemore; J. Gage and Shannon Sizemore, Dylan, Wesley, and Brody Sizemore.

Longtime friend and companion of Margaret whom we thank for all of your help during this time. Dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Harold served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Randolph aircraft carrier from February 2, 1946 through November 25, 1947 with an honorable discharge.

He worked as a sign painter with his father, an electrician, in aluminum factories for siding and awnings, police officer, fireman, security officer, and safety engineer - basically a jack of all trades.

He loved to buy and sell cars, trailers, and motor homes to be refurbished and sell and also to use as a hobby. He loved camping. He visited all 48 North American states at least once. His family, especially grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchild were what he loved most. He fought an 8 month battle with pancreatic cancer and had a fairly good quality of life during that time. He will be missed by many.

SERVICES: Visitation 10am until time of service at 12pm Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at ALEXANDER-WHITE-MULLEN Funeral Home 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd., St. Ann, MO. Interment with Military Honors will take place in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
