Jerome Mierkowski

Jerome (Jerry) and Louise were united in marriage, June 2nd,1956 and shared 63 years plus of building a legacy together before Louise's passing on November 26,2018. He was a hardworking and devoted father of Mark Mierkowski (Joan), Craig Mierkowski (Mary) and Cyndi Buchholz (Curt). He was Grandpa, Gramps, "The Legend" to Shannon Teasel (Kris), Jacob Mierkowski, Jessica Sturgeon (John), Ashley Mierkowski (Ryan), D.J. Buchholz. Amazing Great Grandpa to Chevelle Mierkowski, Catherine Sturgeon, Anna Sturgeon, Miles Teasel. He was a brother to 11 siblings, Isabel, Leona, Izdore, Clarence (Marvella Surviving) , Lorraine, Bertha, Delores, John, Adeline, Lawrence, Edward.

Jerry served in the Army from February 27, 1951- February 6, 1954. He served in the Korean War as a communications specialist. He retired from Bi-state Transportaion in 1995 after 32 years of service with them. In retirement spent with Louise, they enjoyed their home at Bull Shoals and fishing, traveling, and Grandkids. His happy place in life was family, extended family, friends, and conversation with any veteran he was near, and of course the lake. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a kind gentle soul who taught us all with Jerry wisdom.

In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made in Jerry's name to Greater St. Louis Honor Flight.

A visitation for Jerome will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074. A funeral service will follow Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 11:30 AM, also at the Funeral Home, with military honors and burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125.
