Joyce Patricia (Dougan) Gettinger, age 85, of Florissant, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022. Joyce was born February 9, 1937 to Ulysses G. and Reba H. (Waeltz) Dougan whom have preceded her in death along with siblings Helen Clasby, Grant Dougan, Gloria Uetrecht, Freddie Dougan, Ruth Cusick, Judy Zgiet and her beloved granddaughter Lacey Shank.
Joyce will be greatly missed by her loving children, Lee Gettinger, Wayne (Katie) Gettinger, Darryl F. (Pam) Gettinger and Amy (Avi) Attias, along with her brother Bruce (Pat) Dougan and sister Cheryl (Mike) Noble. She leaves behind nine beautiful grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, other family members and friends.
Joyce loved to travel, especially anywhere there was a beach and salty air. She enjoyed nature and the outdoors and spent a lot of time in her flower garden and feeding the wild birds. Joyce was a lover of all animals, in particular her own pets that she has had over the years. She was a special lady and her presence will be missed.
A visitation for Joyce will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander - White - Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, Missouri. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 11:30 AM at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 1625 Swallow Lane, Florissant, Missouri 63031. Burial will occur immediately following the funeral mass at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 11101 St Charles Rock Rd, Saint Ann, Missouri.
