

Linley was born December 14, 1918 to Linley D Garner, Sr and Nellie (nee: Hickey) Garner in
Lincoln County Kansas. Preceding him in death by a daughter, Kathleen Garner, a son Charles Richard Garner, grandsons, Dustin Garner, Sean Million, and Granddaughters, Natalie Greene, and Deyonna Paige.
He is survived by his children; Shirley Welker, Janet Garner, Judith Grafer, Terry Garner (Teresa), and Sherry (Wayne) Tallent, his grandchildren, Shirley Olga Garner, Erica Garner, Valerie Bacon-Mayer, Tamara Bacon, Michael Coe, Adam Coe, Heather Keck, Daniel Grafer, Regina Paige, Michael Kruse, Katelyn Garner, Kirstin Garner, Kelsey Garner, Dwayne Tallent, Nicole Tallent and his Great grandchildren, Broderick Greene, Ethan Greene, Madelyn McIntyre, Jared Coe, Zachary Coe, Christina Coe, Brianna Keck, Donnetta Grafer, Daniel Grafer Jr, Anastasia Blevins, Arlon Tyler, Robert Talbott, Amelia Kruse, Preston Tallent, Cameron Tallent, Paige Tallent, Kevin Million, Sean Paul Million Jr., and Sean Trenton Million, and his great-great grandchildren, Brooklyn Jones, Deyonna Blevins, and Richie Blevins.
He was a graduate of the Lincoln High School. On January 3, 1943 he married his beloved Gladys Loraine (Kinslow) and celebrated 70 years together. His love of machines and metals put him to work at McDonnell Douglas for over 50 years, and was a member of the IAM (International Association of Machinist)
Mr Garner moved to Licking MO late in the year 2002 and truly enjoyed his retirement where he grew a Vegetable garden and had a garage full of tools and equipment that kept his heart happy for years. His hobbies included making steam engines, cannons and guns. Target shooting was a favorite hobby and be belonged to the Piasa Rifle and Pistol Club among others. He loved to fix things and to share his talents with all who asked. During his life he enjoyed inventing special apparatus’s to solve unique mechanical problems.
He was a member of the 1st Methodist Church of Licking, MO where he and Loraine made many friends and loved helping out with the church tasks.

A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on 9/3/2021 at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM till time of service. Interment will follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
