Nellie is also survived by numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Nellie was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 12, 1946 and she has remained a St. Louis resident her entire life. She was a life-long and avid fan of the game of football who introduced and taught the concept and rules of the game to her sons. The Dallas Cowboys were her team! Her life revolved around her family and she cherished every moment spent with them. She would do anything for her children and grandchildren, and always made sure to be there for all of them when needed. She enjoyed listening to music, especially when her sons sang to her, cooking and feeding her family (her fried chicken was the best!), and creating wonderful, fun memories with those she loved. Nellie will be remembered as a beautiful spirit, who was strong and independent, had a quick-witted sense of humor, and a very loving and caring heart. Nellie’s family has lost their amazing Matriarch, but they will never forget her and her memory and spirit lives on through each of them.
