It is with great sadness that we are gathering together upon the passing of Norman D. Coleman. Norm was born on December 6, 1933. At the tender age of 18 he was drafted into the Korean War. He came home from service and went to work at General Motors. He then joined the Masonic Lodge, where he has been a standing member for over sixty-six years. He was Worshipful Master, District Deputy Grand Master, and a member of Charlie’s Angels. He was proficient in his work and made sure others were too. Around 1986 after he retired from GM and had nothing to do other than fish, go to Masonic meetings, and raise his garden, love and take care of his family, he decided to start Norm’s Guns Inc. He joined MACA and became president, joined St. Louis Antique Arms, became a show promoter, and became a loved, well known and respected dealer. He was loving and firm and he wanted everyone he came across to be the best versions of themselves. He took such good care of everything he did and he tried to be as proficient as humanly (maybe un-humanly) possible. Norm was a wonderful man, he gave to charities, and sponsored the bowling team that he used to be part of. His average was 280 and he won so many trophies. Norm was a great husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was loved and respected by A LOT of people. He was strong in mind and body up until the time of his passing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew, and especially by those who loved him.
Norm is preceded in death by his wife Alice Coleman of 50 years, his parents, all of his siblings, and several nieces and nephews. He is leaving behind his beloved wife of 20 years Lola M. Coleman, Brenda Waters (daughter). Steve Ciscell (son) & Kathy Ciscell (spouse), Jeff Ciscell (son), Norman Dale Coleman II (son) & Dawn Coleman (spouse), Brian Ciscell (son) and Amy Hardin (daughter) & Dewey Hardin (Spouse), eleven grand-children, and six-great-grand-children and so many others who loved and adored him. Norm and Lola loved each other and their blended families so much. This is a hard time for everyone who ever loved and truly knew him.
A visitation will be held at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, located at 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074, on February 18, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same venue at 1:00 pm, with burial at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
