Oral "Leon" Johnson

Oral "Leon" Johnson, age 84, of Maryland Heights, Missouri died at home on Sunday, April 10, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. He was born December 12, 1937 in Piggott, AR to Tinker and Virdie Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Julian Johnson of St. Louis, MO, and sister Barbara Myers of Ferguson, MO.

Survivors include wife Barbara, sons Kevin Deon (Kelly) Johnson of Broken Arrow, OK, Lance Errol (Sue) Johnson of St. Louis, MO, granddaughters Ashley (Max) Wood of Broken Arrow, OK, Lindsey (Mat) Carter of Broken Arrow, OK, Shelby (Donovan) Stone of Poplar Bluff, MO, great grandchildren - Liam, Zeke, Luke and Abel, sisters, Betty Aldridge of Paragould, AR, and Melba Hill of St. Louis, MO, brother, Sherell (Regina) Johnson of Paragould, AR, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Leon grew up in both Piggott and Fair Oaks, AR, and graduated from Paragould High School. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He was an Army veteran. In retirement he loved to play golf, poker with his GM buddies, watch NASCAR races, and go for coffee at McDonald's with his friends.

A public visitation for Leon will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Alexander - White - Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
