Patricia Moorhouse

Patricia “Pat” Moorhouse (nee Meagher), 81, of St. Ann, MO passed away peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Launa (nee Hager) Meagher; a son in infancy, Patrick; a granddaughter, Madison; daughter-in-law, Kelly; and a brother, William “Bill”. Pat is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert “Bob” Moorhouse; her children, Scott (Lisa) Moorhouse, Carrie (John) Moore, and Mark (Angela) Moorhouse; grandchildren, Chris, Parker, Ryan, Brock, Gracen, Caitlin, Jordan, Nathan, Sam, and Patrick.

Ms. Moorhouse was born in her parents’ home in St. Louis City and was raised as a city girl. She graduated from St. Mark’s High School where she was very active in music programs and participated in many plays. As a tall girl in an all girls’ school, Pat was often cast as a boy but she played the part to her fullest capabilities! She met and married Bob and began raising a beautiful family. Pat was a member of New Horizons Presbyterian Church in Overland. She retired from the Sunkist Corporation and enjoyed spending time with Bob, her children, and her grandchildren. Pat was an accomplished opera singer, often performing for Catholic weddings and Masonic Lodge events. She loved the ocean and was never without her flip flops! She was a very vocal and passionate football fan and also enjoyed quiet time by reading, crossword puzzles, and Scrabble. Pat enjoyed a few evenings at the casino as well and will be missed by her friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd., St. Ann, MO 63074. Pastor Marsha Brown will officiate the celebration of her life and interment will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Expressions of condolence may be offered at www.alexanderstlouis.com.
