

Terence S. Sitwell, a beloved member of the St. Louis County community, passed away December 3, 2025. Terence was a man of many talents, boundless curiosity, and an unwavering appreciation for the arts and the world around him.
A lifelong learner, Terence could often be found with a book in hand or exploring the shelves of his local library. His love of reading was matched only by his passion for music. Whether listening to his favorite songs or playing music himself, he found joy and expression in every note. Terence was an avid supporter of the performing arts and cherished every opportunity to watch plays and attend theatre productions across the region. He also was deeply proud of his academic achievements. He was an accomplished alumnus of Lindenwood University and later continued his pursuit of knowledge through studies at the prestigious University of Cambridge.
Terence lived a remarkable life shaped by service, creativity, and compassion. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy, carrying forward a deep sense of duty and honor throughout his life. Professionally, he embraced several meaningful roles—serving with care and dedication as a nurse, expressing his artistic gifts as a hairdresser, and sharing knowledge and inspiration during his time as a teacher. Each path he chose reflected his desire to help others, uplift them, and make a positive impact wherever he went.
Terence also had a beautiful spirit for adventure, enjoying travel, new experiences, and learning from every place he visited. His journeys enriched his life and the lives of those who shared in his stories.
Terence was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Fannie Pizzo, his two brothers James and Frank Pizzo, and sisters Frances Montileone, Dorothy Zielman, Jo Anna Lovell, and Fara Wease.
Survivors include his sisters Rose Marie Barnett and her husband Gary, along with Theresa Bergfeld and her husband Randy, in addition to several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was a friend to many.
Terence is survived by loving family members and dear friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
