

Willard J. R. Johnson, 86, of St. Charles, MO passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Ella (nee Roberts) Johnson; his first wife, Betty (nee Hawkins) Johnson; and 9 siblings. Willard is survived by his wife, Vanda (nee England) Johnson; daughters, Robin (the late David) Owen, Susan (Tim) Aly, and Sharon (Mickey) White; 3 step-children, Karen (Ron) Erickson, Cindy (Dave) Ponder, and Pam (Steve) Belcher; grandchildren, Lauren (Coulter) Wickerham, Katie Owen, Allison (Luke) Wiley, Lindsay (Mark) Manley, Cameron Aly, Caroline Aly, Kevin (Holly) White, Kristopher (Tara) White; and many loving step-grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
Willard served his country proudly as a member of the USAF during the Korean Conflict. He was a kind and gentle man who was soft-spoken and never complained. He would lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it and had the ability to make people smile. He enjoyed playing cards and dominoes and spending time with his loving family. He will be missed.
Friends may visit on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home. He will be entombed at Valhalla Cemetery and Mausoleum in Pagedale on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 10 a.m. with full military honors. Memorials are appreciated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
