Allan Daniel King, age 75, passed away on February 4, 2025. He was born on August 20, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan to his late parents Alvin King and Patricia (Jerry) Hewelt. Allan is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Susan; loving daughter: Jennifer (Troy) Sitar; brothers: Jim (Rebecca) King and John (Virginia) King; nieces: Janelle (Jim) and Emily (Todd); and great nieces Avery and Annabelle and great nephews James and Maverick and was loved by all. Allan graduated from Michigan State University and Western Michigan University. He was the Assistant Principal at Charles A. Parcells Middle School in Grosse Pointe Woods before retiring in 2013. Before that he was an educator and coach in Bangor, MI for many years. After retiring, he followed his dream and made his home on Lake St. Clair and spent many hours on the water. Allan had several hobbies, including hunting and golfing, but his favorite was fishing. He loved being part of "Team Jack", the Musky fishing team he was on with his brother John. Allan was a huge Michigan State fan, MSU football and basketball were his favorites. He was also an avid Detroit sports fan. Allan was an animal lover and had an amazing sense of humor. Everybody loved him and he will be missed by all who knew him. He was a beautiful soul, and we will carry him with us forever. Allan was so proud of his niece Emily becoming a teacher, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Tenniswood Elementary's Special Education Department, L'Anse Creuse School District. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Because of Allan’s love of Michigan State and Detroit sports, please feel free to wear your favorite MSU or Detroit sports apparel to his service on Sunday.
