Arthur Francis Stefanski, of St. Clair Shores, passed away on August 20, 2024 at the age of 80. Art was born September 24, 1943 to Helen Sestak and Frank Stefanski. He married Dolores on September 12, 1964 and they were married almost 60 years. Together, they raised two daughters: Laura (Jody) Kubitz and Susan Stefanski. Art was “Grandpa” to two grandchildren, Zachary Kubitz and Matthew Kubitz. He is also survived by his brother, Frank (Peggy) Stefanski, cousins Rick Zaremski, Tony Zaremski, George Sestak, Janet Stockie and David Sestak, as well as nieces and a nephew. Services will be held at a later date.
After graduating from Lakeview High School, Art graduated from the Detroit Institute of Technology and Central Michigan University with degrees in Business Administration and Finance. He was a CPA and founded ClairePointe Financial Services in 2008. Throughout his career, he was employed by Bundy Tubing, Masco Corporation and AMSTAFF and ultimately retired from The Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan. He was a member of The Men’s Club of Grosse Pointe and St. Isaac Jogues Church. Art enjoyed traveling, boating, golfing and spending winters on Longboat Key, Florida. In lieu of flowers, Art’s family is asking that donations be made to: The Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan (Art Stefanski Memorial) in his honor.
