Betty Josephine Smith

Betty was the loving mother to Charles (Maryanne) Smith, Dina (General) Jesse, Kristy Peppers, and Travis (Tina) Smith. Cherished grandmother to Kyle Smith, Aubrey Jesse, Wyatt Smith, Mason Smith, Savannah Smith, Cheyenne Smith and Kinsley Peppers. She is the step grandmother to Sarah Nicolai, William Nicolai and Stephanie Scott. Cherished great-grandmother to Mavrick Smith. Dear sister to Christine (the late Clinton) Rogers. Betty was preceded in death by her grandson Austin Smith and siblings Roger Chaney, Rickey Chaney, and Don Chaney. Betty will be missed by all those who loved her.

"Betty was always proud of her Mississippi heritage. She loved to talk with her sister by phone daily. Betty was a lifelong gardener, always with a green thumb. Most of all, Betty adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson and enjoyed spending time with them often."

Family will receive friends on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, with a service at 7:00 pm, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.
