

Catherine (Kay) Agatha Faria passed away March 13, 2015 at her home in St. Clair Shores, Michigan at the age of 89, where she is survived by her husband of 67 years, lifetime friend and partner, and caregiver, William Faria.
Kay was the daughter of Sophie and James Green (nee Grinienko) of Detroit, Michigan, and was predeceased by her half-sisters Martha and Eleanor Krause, her half brothers John and Lawrence Krause, her sister Lucille, and her brothers William (Bud), Stanley, James, Frank, and Peter. She is survived by her brother Leonard (Portia) of Westland Michigan.
Kay is also survived by her two sons Gary (Patricia Mallon) and Brian Faria (Loretta), and her three grandchildren, Michael Faria (Rhonda), Lisa Petitjean (George), and Danielle Faria, and three great grandchildren, Dominic and Carter Petitjean, and Ashlyn Faria.
Kay attended Wayne State University in Detroit, was an avid tennis player, skier, and figure skater in her younger years, and loved family, kindness, gardening, literature, opera and classical music and puzzle books.
Visitation is at Kaul’s Funeral Home on Jefferson (near Martin Road) in St. Clair Shores on Sunday, March 15, from 2:00 to 4:00, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 at the funeral home.
