Hey dad. Can't believe it's going on 6 years since you passed. I miss you so much. I miss hearing your voice on the other end of the phone. I've been seeing a lot of eagle's lately and think of you and wonder if that you watching over me. Well dad I'm going to go for now. I think about you every day. I love and miss you. ❤

Its almost five years Dad. I still have your number in my phone and smile when ai see it. I wish I could call your for advice. Its hard raising a 20 year old on my own. I always thought youd be there. Im trying my best dad. You would be so proud of her. Shes as stubborn and hardheaded as you. Shes so amazing and I know shes making her papa proud. I miss you Dad. I miss you so much. 

I've been missing you a ton lately. Wish we could take a drive and talk because I could really use your advice. I'm trying as hard as I can but it is just so hard. I really wish you were here to help me through dad. 

I am going to miss having coffee with you at Linda's place Chance. I am glad I saw you before you left here. My deepest sympathy for the family of Chance.

Chance. From the first day i met you those many years ago we were friends. When we both drove for Galaxy Transport. And when we ran those toyota runs together. Even after my Heart attacks and stroke you went out of your way to check on mr and invite me out to the truck stop for coffee. Little did i know that only 2 weeks ago when you called and we sat and had coffee together that that would be the last time i would ever see you. Already i am missing your joking and laughter. Smooth roads ahead for you Chance and may God guide you on your new trip. My heart felt sympthy goes out to Mrs. verhelle and his family. Oneof the nicest men i have ever known.

Chance was like a father to Jake and will always be in my heart. I am sorry for your loss.

I feel all torn up inside today. I always do absolutely everything I can to pay my respects for the lost loved ones in my life, but today I'm unable to take the 4 hour ride to the funeral of an old friend due to other commitments.

I met Chance (Thomas Verhelle) back in the late 70's or very early 80's. We hung out with a group of 20 or so guys with wives or girlfriends and we all rode motorcycles. Most of us had Honda's, but Chance got a Kawasaki. Chance was a leader with a strong personality. We would all meet at the Big Boy Restaurant at 14 Mile and Gratiot in Clinton Township, MI for dinner where we joked and laughed while we waited to see how many friends would show up. If we didn't have a big enough group, we would plan half of our ride searching out friends, to get them in the pack. One time a waitress asked if we were members of a gang and we answered "Hell yes, we're "Hells Bad Bananas"! After we assembled a nice group, we would plan on
a trip up Jefferson, Van Dyke or some other scenic road.

Chance was a very proud and honorable man. I remember one time after he was laid off from a job for a few weeks, he couldn't go with us since money was tight and he wanted to go out looking for work. I asked him if he had filed for unemployment and he said sternly, "I don't take handouts". I tried explaining that unemployment is an insurance paid for by employers and not a handout. I'm not sure if he ever filed or not.

When Chance and Maggie were waiting on the birth of their third daughter, I asked if this one was going to have a boys nickname like the others. I joked that he had been wishing he had boys instead. That wasn't the case, though; you could tell those girls were his life. I only remember two names, Ronnie and Bobbie Jo.

As more of the "gang" got married and had families and good careers, we started to drift away. I was one that was married, got a divorce, then went my own way.

Some of the best times of my life were with Chance and all those other friends. Nothing but good times. I would so have loved to reunite with many of those friends and his family as they say goodby to this wonderful man. I'm glad he was a part of my young life.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to his family; I know he will be missed.

I am so sorry that the mini-reunion that our kids were planning did not happen. I was so looking forward to it. So, now we are getting together to celebrate your wonderful life! I will always cherish our memories over the years. Love you, Sis

Hi dad. Just wanted tell you how much I will miss and love you. O also want to tell you how much I remember growing up and you being my dad. How we had our arguments or disagreement being sad or happy. But most of all the love you had for me and everyone around you. Your love for everyone will be missed but not forgotten. I love and miss you so much dad. Always and forever!!!!
