She is survived by her mother, Beverly Farmer Schaff, and stepfather, David Schaff, of St. Clair Shores, her father, Chuck Farmer, from Calvert City, Kentucky, several Aunts, Uncles, cousins, friends, and her beloved pets, Sylvester, Baby, Izzy, and Sweetie. She was predeceased by her grandparents.
While attending Lakeshore High School, she played in Marching Band, participated on the Girls’ Bowling team and served as a student mentor to younger learners. Upon graduating from Lakeshore, Christina attended Eastern Michigan University where she participated in the Economics Club and played trumpet in the Marching Band while majoring in Economics and Communication.
She was a kind and caring young woman who loved animals and volunteered at the Lake House Cancer Support Center prior to and during her fight with cancer. A creative spirt, she loved to draw. She was also a model of determination when she set her mind to teaching herself how to play the guitar by listening to the music of great guitarists like Eric Clapton and Joe Satriani. When she wasn’t busy with school, Christina enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing computer games, creating craft projects with her mom and shooting her gun with her dad. Whatever she was doing, she always had a smile on her face and kind words for everyone.
It has been said that a heart is not judged by how much a person loves, but by how much a person is loved by others. Christina has touched the hearts of many, many people and lives on as a shining example to those who love and miss her. She is now an angel and walking with her Lord. This is not good bye but a “see ya later”. Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, MI. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2018 at the funeral home followed by an interment at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery. Contributions can be sent the Lake House in St. Clair Shores in memory of Christina Farmer.
