Daniel Ethan Bies

Dan Bies was born February 21, 1971, Monroe County, Michigan. He enjoyed a very pleasant childhood in LaSalle, MI, and last made his home in Lake Orion, MI. He was the youngest child of Tim and Judy Bies, brother to Wendy Bies-Hannum and Chris Bies.

Dan attended Erie-Mason High School, Erie, MI; Michigan Christian College, Rochester, MI; and Central Michigan University in Mt Pleasant, MI, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering. Dan was a proud member of the Erie-Mason 1987 State Champion Football team, as well as the 1987 Runner Up State Champion Baseball team.

Dan was a loving father to his two children; son Drew, and daughter Abigail. Dan also spent many fond hours with his special companion, Simona Chetan, and her twin daughters.

Dan was a man of many nicknames: "Dub's", "Big D", and "Daniel Boone"; the latter as he truly was a man of the water, woods and fields. He was a skilled hunter and fisherman. He loved to tie his own fly fishing flies. He loved boating and camping with his family and friends, and also enjoyed golfing.
