Dave Einkorn was born on June 3, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan, and died on January 17, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Christine (Cirinesi), sons Christopher (Jamie) and Ryan, granddaughter Madison and brother Carl (Carol) Einkorn. He was predeceased by his parents Carl and Lottie Einkorn. Dave was a retired Teamster from Splane Electric Supply Company where he worked for 31 years. He continued working as an electrical contractor for his own Company, DCR Electric. A Vietnam Veteran, Dave served in the Army from 1968 to 1970.Dave had a special way of touching everyone he met, helping them and being involved in their lives. Whether it was his active membership on the St. Clair Shores Activities Committee, the St. Clair Shores Planning Commission, or simply clearing the snow from his neighbors’ walks and driveways, Dave was always there for his friends, and everyone was his friend. Dave was passionate about Christianity, veterans, Harley motorcycles (he was a long-standing member of The Antique Motorcycle Club of America) and animals, but most of all he loved Christine and his boys. Dave was a Webelo Scout Master and coached or volunteered for the various sports (baseball, football, soccer) Christopher and Ryan played and was overjoyed when they both wanted to play his favorite sport, hockey. He even continued to attend the hockey games through St. Clair Shores Parks & Recreation long after his boys stopped playing. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project. Visitation to celebrate Dave’s life will be on Thursday, January 23 from 3-9 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Avenue, St. Clair Shores, MI (586-775-2424). Graveside services with full honor guard ceremony will be at Resurrection Cemetery immediately following the funeral Mass.
