David Allan Post, age 76, passed away on May 13, 2024. He was born in Midland, Michigan on May 15, 1947 to his late parents Ralph and Vaida Post. David was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Ralph “Art” Post Jr., Beverly Colombe, and Connie Post. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 43 years, Barbara (Heckman) Post; son: Kenneth (Nicole) Post; grandsons: James Post, Jacob Post, Jeffrey (Taylor) Post; great-granddaughter: Vivienne; and sisters: Bonnie Cameron, and Susan Nowak.
David graduated in 1965 from Fordson High School in Dearborn, Michigan. After high school, he moved to Detroit and worked as a mechanic at a gas station in Grosse Pointe. Later he moved to St. Clair Shores where he met his wife Barb in 1980. They married in 1981 and moved to Eastpointe for 40 years before ultimately moving back to St. Clair Shores in 2022. David worked at Cadillac Products for many years before retiring in 2012 from Webasto as a maintenance technician. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.
