Debi and I use to be childhood best friends, I remember going to her house and playing Carol King albums and just having fun, I just heard about her passing and so sad it took me so long to go visit her and  George, She will be missed and I know she had help others in need . My friend. My "spiritual adviser"     I've been trying to find the words...    my heart is truly heavy. Loss is never easy. Great loss can be unbearable. Our path came to a fork in the road... each choosing a different direction.  I missed my friend on what was once our path.   I felt almost daily the emptiness that true friendship brings.   I am truly grateful for the loving memories I have. The laughs. The cries. The demanding you let me make you dinner for your birthday!!  I'm not going to say goodbye. I will say that I hope our paths cross again.  I will miss you with all my heart. I wish we would have stayed on the same path.  I love you. Xo. Peace

Debi was like my other mother at one time and will always have a special place in my heart. She was special and helped so many people. I looked up to her a lot. She helped me get through the hardest time of my life and I never thanked her enough. 

     When I was old enough to understand life, our mom told me I had another sister and told me the story.  I was happy and sad.  Happy to know that I have another sister and sad you were not with us.  Our mom made sure I knew when your birthday came around.  We always wondered where you were and how you were doing?  
     Finally, the day came and we found you ❤  and I was beyond happy.  The whole family had a reunion.  Soon after we talked and shared stories. I remember every time I did see you, I kept begging you to take off your shoes so I can see how tall you really was. 
 Finally you gave in and took off one shoe and dropped four inches, of course we laughed.  I thought I had plenty of time to start visiting you more one day, until, I was told you were gone forever. I may not have tons of memories like others but I am blessed you were found and we met.  I will  cherish the memories that I do have.
   Lord, please help the family and friends find comfort as each day passes.  Guide them and please take away there pain as  each day they grieve.  RIP DEBI
  

As the days continue to pass and the world moves forward, I continue to stand still...wanting to stay frozen in time with you still here. A fog of denial seems to be consuming me and my mind wants to reject it all. I’ve been waiting to wake up from this nightmare but I am forced to recognize my own reality. I’m struggling to accept the fact that you are truly gone. To wake up knowing that someone who has always been there isn’t anymore, is about as devastating as it gets. The grief is inexplicable. My heart is full of sorrow and the pain of losing you has rendered me helpless. A pain that is so deep and relentless. My whole world has shifted. To lose you was my life’s worst moment and a part of me went with you and I know I’ll never be the same. It’s impossible to put into words how much I love you. I’m so grateful and will forever cherish the unique and special bond we share. The exceptional relationship you had with my kids will never be matched or forgotten as you will always remain in our hearts forever. We miss you so much!!!!!!  Mom, I love you always and forever. I’m gonna miss you Debi! I will be forever grateful that you gave us Kim. She is such an amazing person and so much of that comes from you and your love. Having a mother as a best friend is such a special and rare gift. I know how proud of her you always were and will be. You were always such a big help with Elli and Liam and had such a special bond with the both of them. We will continue to speak your name and include you in all of life’s celebrations. You are so dearly missed!

I am so sorry to hear that Debi has passed away. She was so sweet, kind and helpful to those in need. Please accept my condolences.

We all have beautiful memories of our times together that will stay in our hearts.

Debi was a true shining star in the recovery community, she has helped so many and gave of herself selflessly. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all her loved ones.
