I'm very, very sad this morning to read Sherry's message of his passing.  I have many memories of my cousin Dennis, but of all of them, there are two that  stand out. His service to our country during the Vietnam War and his fabulous ability to dance. 
My heart breaks for Kathy and all of you that he leaves behind. I'm so sad.

I remember all the fun parties at his home on L'anse with all the family. We would all get in a circle in the basement and dance. The best part would be when Dennis did the splits!  I always called him Peter Pizzoli, don't know why.  So sad he is gone, but we have so many good memories to remember. My heart goes out to the family.  We will all miss him. Our prayers are lifted for the Marshall family. Dennis was a caring person and devoted member of Redeemer United Methodist Church. 
Eternal God, we praise you for the great company of all those
   who have finished their course in faith    and now rest from their labor. We praise you for those dear to us    whom we name in our hearts before you. Especially we praise you for Dennis Marshall   whom you have graciously received into your presence.

I feel fortunate to have had a number of special friends in my life, but none more special than Dennis!  Dennis taught me a lot over the years  about car drag racing. Basically teaching me how to enjoy the sport safely. 
He was always there to help if he knew you or if you were a complete stranger!  Dennis had a strong Faith and attended church weekly. He couldn't sit still and could be found changing light bulbs in church or straightening cement blocks in their parking lot. 
We spent a lot of special times together I will never forget! I will miss you my friend!

I really miss talking to the ol' man about cars, listening to racing stories, and having friendly arguments about GM vs Dodge.
