Donna Jean Dietz, age 89, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, died on December 11, 2019. She was born in Detroit on September 27, 1930 to her proud parents Donald and Marguerite Kinmond. Donna is preceded in death by her husband Norman of 50 years. Donna is the loving mother of Marc (Debbie) Dietz, Michael (Charlene) Dietz, Karin (Thomas) Dunhill, Sheila (Charles) McCracken and Eric (Karen) Dietz. She is the cherished grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 20. Donna is preceded in death by her beautiful sister June (Jack) Holt.
Donna will be missed by many family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who took extreme pride in her family. She loved books and music, she played piano and enjoyed gardening. She volunteered at Bethel Lutheran Church and enjoyed over 60 years of membership. Donna was very friendly and had a delightful laugh. She always made more than enough food in case visitors stopped by. All who knew her will always remember her wit, charm and warmth!
Family will receive friends on Friday January 3, 2020 from 1:00pm - 7:00pm in Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081. A service in celebration of her life will follow the gathering on January 3rd from 7:00-8:00pm.
