Ed’s been my Lone Pickleball Pal for 3 years. I already miss you, Ed.  Respect and admire your pluck and perseverance through all adversities. Peace to you, Ed.

Ed introduced me to Pickleball at a tough time in my life, he reached out to me.  It is because of his concern that I now I have met a fellow pickleballer, Carrie   and we are engaged to be married.  Over the last 3.5 years I got to know him.  Thank you Ed.

Ed always smiled. I remember him best from St Veronica's. At lunch we would play keep-away, with Larry and Tom and Jim and others, with a little football. For a little guy, he was fast. I always had fond memories of him. He looked great at the 50th reunion. Still smiling!

Ed and  I grew up together on the same street. Separated only by five houses. We went to grade school together, high school together and were drafted into the army together. During all this time, if you saw Ed I was not too far away and visa versa. It is fair to say we were like brothers to each other. 

Soon after his return from Vietnam, he married Debby and started a family. I had the pleasure watching Chip, Michelle and Renee grow up. And  proudly was Godfather to Renée. 

In later years, we still stayed in touch. And even though I had recently moved to Florida, we maintained phone contact. It was fun to get caught up with Ed and see how he was doing. I always wanted to hear his good news and even sometimes bad news. We had just talked a few weeks ago.

I truly loved my friend Ed and he will be dearly missed.

I always looked forward to playing "pickleball" with Ed at the Roseville Rec Ctr.  Ed helped me learn the game that I now truly enjoy.  I also enjoyed talking with Ed about growing up in the 60's and how the Vietnam war had an effect on our lives.  Ed was a good storyteller and we had a lot of good laughs together.  Ed was a good friend and will be truly missed.

I was a class mate of Ed at EDHS class of 1964. My prayers are with the family during this time.

This wonderful man...he taught me a little about football, since then the New England Patriots has been my team. I saw him cry as he spoke of Vietnam & he is the father & grandfather of amazing people. He was a strong man. May he find peace...
