Elaine "Ginger" Callsen

Elaine “Ginger” Callsen, age 89, passed away on July 12, 2025. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 18, 1935 to her late parents Raymond and Marian Kenyon. Ginger is survived by her loving children: Laura (Scott) Yost, Matt (Andrea) Callsen; dear grandchildren: Kelly Crooks, Kaitlyn Callsen, Terra (Michael) Franklin, Lily Lewis, Paul (Edyta) Scherer; and great-grandchildren: Destiny VanDeSteene, Catherine Scherer, Evander Franklin, Elizabeth Casio, and Samantha Casio.

Ginger was very active within the Lake Shore Presbyterian Church. She loved going to her pinochle club, playing bingo, and going to the casino to visit with her family. Ginger also enjoyed doing ceramics with her daughter and going to garage sales and auctions. She loved people, was very family oriented and extremely generous.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lake Shore Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, beginning with a gathering at 11:00 am, until time of service at 12:00 Noon, at Lake Shore Presbyterian Church 27801 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.
