Eleanor Martha Newton

Eleanor Martha Newton, age 96, of Saint Clair Shores, Michigan passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022. She was born on November 28, 1925, to the proud parents of Oscar and Natalie Sagert. Eleanor is the beloved wife of sixty-one years of the late Carl W. Newton, Sr. She is the loving mother to James (Lois) Newton, Beth (Ross) Brackett, Carl (Denise) Newton Jr., Steven (Sharon) Newton, Amy (Kim) Adams, Jeffrey (Jackie) Newton and Judith (J. Bradley) Constant. Eleanor is the cherished grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is the dear sister to Reynold (Patricia) Sagert, Harold Sagert, Alan (JoAnn) Sagert, Lillian Taylor and Emily Church. Eleanor was preceded in death by her brothers Rudy Sagert and Oscar Sagert. Eleanor graduated from the Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing and Hygiene in 1947 afforded to her through the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corp. She was a dedicated wife, mother, nurse and friend. Eleanor will be missed by many family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday January 14, 2023, beginning with a visitation at 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm, at Guardian Lutheran Church 24544 Cherry Hill Road, Dearborn, Michigan 48124.
