Ethel Rose Cote

Ethel Rose Cote, age 89, died November 2, 2012 in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. She was born November 22, 1922 in Grosse Pointe to Richard and Rose Mead. She attended Elementary School at St. Paul through 9th grade and went on to graduate from Grosse Pointe High School in 1940. She was a charter member of the Catholic Culture Center in Washington, a member of the League of Catholic Women, a member of Lourdes Prayer League, a member of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) and a member of Grosse Pointe Old Timers. She also was a secretary to many principles in the Grosse Pointe School System for 32 years, mainly at Parcells Middle School. Beloved wife of the late Laurence “Red”. Loving mother of Pam (Bob Lamb) Melvin, Larry Cote, and Chris (Carol “Lynn”) Cote. Dearest grandmother of Rob Melvin, Kelli Smiecinski, Kevin Cote, Heather Cote, Kirk Cote, Craig Cote and Cari Vanwinkle. Dear great grandmother of 11. Godmother of Mary “Joan” Treadeu. Memorial visitation Friday 2-9 pm with a Scripture Service at 7 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson, St. Clair Shores. Memorial Mass Saturday at 10 am at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, 21201 Thirteen Mile Rd., St. Clair Shores. Inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
