George Washnak, age 94, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at his daughter's home. He was born Dec. 5, 1926 in Revloc, PA.

Before retiring, Mr. Washnak was an Electrical & Property Maintenance Inspector for the City of Grosse Pointe Woods; George was also very active in the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his children George A. (Deborah) and Jeanne (Bob) Kowalske; grandchildren Jamie, Melissa, Courtney and Scott; great grandchildren MacKenzie, Jordan, Michael and Charlotte. Mr. Washnak was pre-deceased by his wife of 61 years Marie and his son David G.

Visitation is Tuesday, May 4 beginning at 2pm until 8pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave; St Clair Shores. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wed. May 5, at 10am at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church 22412 Overlake, St Clair Shores, 48080.
