Gerald “Jerry” Downing, age 83, passed away September 16, 2014. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus – Fr. Solanus Casey Lodge and the fomer owner of Lenox Drugs in Richmond. Jerry was the beloved husband of the late Patricia A. Downing; loving father of Debbie (Douglas) Pulver, Pam (Thomas) Ward, Kim (Alan) Marasco, and Cindy Downing; devoted grandfather of Marnie (Brian) Krzemecki, Paetra (Matt) Barbour, Casey and Anna Ward, Jeffrey, Matthew, and Benjamn Marasco; proud great-grandfather of Jack, Mason, Laela, Kate, and Natalie Barbour and Hunter Krzemecki; identical twin of James E. (Shirley) Downing and brother to identical twins the late Joy Guitar and the late Gloria Miller. Visitation today, September 18, 4 – 8 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave, St. Clair Shores. In-State Friday, September 19, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Lucy Catholic Church, St. Clair Shores. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fr. Solanus Guild.
