Inge Carver, age 85, went to be with her Lord on June 28, 2025, in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on May 13, 1940, in Bietigheim, Germany to parents Hans and Else Ottmar.
Inge lived a life rooted in faith, family, service, and joy. A devout Christian and follower of Christ, Inge was the heart of her family and her community. Her unwavering love, joyful spirit, and strong faith shaped generations. She was a dedicated wife, mother, Oma, sister, and friend—and to those who knew her, she was a light in their lives.
Inge was the beloved wife of 63 years to Kenneth Carver. Loving Mother to Katherine Nawrocki, Susan Dommer, James (Elizabeth) Carver, and Michelle (Christopher) McLaughlin. Cherished OMA to Tiffany Nawrocki, Shane (Isabella) Dommer, Hunter Eve Nawrocki, Nicole Dommer and Caleb McLaughlin. Great OMA to Emma Dommer. Dear Sister to Heinz (Margot) Ottmar, sister-in-law Julianna Carver, wife of her late brother-in-law Philip Carver, and Aunt to Diana, Susan, Lynne and Marc.
She enjoyed time in her kitchen, not just cooking and baking, but creating memories. She brought everyone together with food—famous in the family for her Spaghetti, German dishes (Roladin), pistachio cake, five-berry pie, homemade chocolates, and many other spectacular goodies.
Inge’s beauty and grace were unmistakable. She loved getting her nails and hair done at Studio Two and was always dressed best. Despite her elegance, she remained humble and grounded, always putting others before herself. She was grounded in her church; a longtime, devoted member of Lakeside Community Church, where she was married, volunteered as a greeter and gave generously of her time.
She also supported many good causes, including MCREST and Goodfellows—close to her heart that reflected her deep compassion for others.
She was close to her bible study group, and longtime group of friends from the North Shore Elementary PTO. They will miss her dearly.
She loved game shows (America Says, The Pyramid, Family Feud), floating in the pool, feeding her birds, and most of all, being with her family. She would often end any discussion by quoting the Word of God—not out of judgment, but with compassion and wisdom. Her faith was her compass, and her kindness, patience, and generosity were reflections of that faith.
Inge leaves behind a legacy of grace, strength, and unconditional love. Her memory will live on in the recipes passed down, the traditions she started, and the hearts she touched.
WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU....
