James K. Campbell, age 76, born on February 22, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan. He passed away on June 1, 2018, in Detroit, Michigan. James was the beloved son of the late Ernest and Mary Campbell. He was preceded in death by his late wife Joy Campbell. James is the loving father of Cheryl (Santino) DeSantis and Donna J. Ferrence. He is the cherished grandfather of James DeSantis, Christina (Conner) Clarke, Jason Ferrence and great grandfather to Johnathan “John” Clarke. James is the dear brother of the Hon. Judge Herman Campbell, the late Virginia Dunning and he is the longtime companion and good friend of Marylou McGivern. James will be missed by many family and friends. James worked and retired from the Roseville Police Department after 26 years of service. He continued on with his service as a Blue Coat in the Macomb County Probation Security Department for many years. James was most proud of his time served in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis on the U.S.S. Sampson. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday June 6, 2018, beginning with a gathering at 9:00 am, until time of service at 10:00 am, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.
