Hello,I worked with Jim a bit and he was a very nice guy ,my condolences to the family.

My deepest sympathies to Lori, Jacob and Grace, Ross and the Gottman family. Jimmy was kind, loving and so easy to talk to. He always listened with his heart. Lori and Jimmy always met me with a hug and  warm smile.  My heart breaks with yours at his loss. 

You don’t get lucky enough to have such wonderful neighbors like The Gottman’s.  We have been their neighbors for the last nine years and honored to call them friends.  We are extremely heartbroken and saddened by the loss of Jim.  He was one of a kind, always a smiling face, helping hand if we needed anything  and a wave in the court.  Thinking of Laurie, Grace,Jake and Jessie during this time. We are here for you if you need anything you know where we live

We were neighbors for a short few years in Michigan but our families shared many firsts. We have been forever thankful for all of them. You truly were one of the nicest people We have ever met!  Prayers said for you, Jim.  Praying for you, Laurie, Jake and Grace!  You are forever in our prayers!

Jim ,  our friendship dates way back and some great memories growing up together in our little hometown of SL.   It's hard to comprehend you are no longer with us my friend and I am in total shock still,   since we were just laughing and reliving some of those memories a few weeks ago.   You will be missed my friend and my heart is broken.   RIP and see you in Heaven one day again my brother!

I’m saddened by the loss of such a well liked young man. Everything I’ve read from friends and family tell a wonderful story about James.  I only knew James when he was a young boy.

There aren’t words to describe how deeply sad I am that we’ve lost Jimmy. He was among the most hilarious, kind, thoughtful, and caring people that I’ve known and I’m so proud to say that he was my family. Nothing will be the same without him, but there won’t be a second that he isn’t always with us all. It’s awful being so far away, but I will be there to remember my much loved cousin as soon as I can.

The heartache of grief is so difficult to express.  A sorrowful journey.  There will be comfort in grief  searching to keep all his memories close.  There is an empty seat at the “kids table “ that can never be filled.  

Jimmy’s easy smile, warm hug, and caring spirit made a difference in a job “well done “ .

Being with Jimmy practically every moment of everyday it seemed like from the time we moved next door to him on Silver Lake. Too many memories to recall all of them.  He was an awesome person and although we did not stay in contact enough I will miss him alot. Love you brother!!

I can not express how deeply sorry I am for the Gottman family. I got to know Jim , Lauire, Gracie and Jake by being their neighbor. We would do EVERYTHING  together. Jim was really a sweet guy, would do anything for anyone. I’m just heartbroken. John and I are here for you Laurie we love you guys! 

My heart goes out to Laurie, Jake and Grace.  I have no words.  Just wonderful memories of Jim especially during Jake's bowling meets.  On behalf of the Lake Shore Bowling Program, our deepest sympathies to you all.
