James A. Nichols

James A. Nichols, age 45, passed away on December 15. He was the beloved husband and friend of Michelle; loving father of Jacob, Tyler, and Theodore; dear son of Glenn and Ruth; caring brother of Nancy (Frank) Duchane, Michael (Marie), Daniel, Sara (David) Follebout; proud uncle of Nicole, Brian (Brownstown Fire Department), Jessica, Samantha, Shanna, Kyle, and Jordan, and great-uncle of numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. James was the lieutenant of the St. Clair Shores Fire Department, and a member of the Macomb County Technical Rescue Team. He also served in the United States Army for four years. James was a Registered Nurse and passionate about missionary work and spreading the word of Christ. He was a graduate of Marine City High School Class of 1985. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 20, from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday, December 21, at 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Pass and Review by the Fire Department at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 22, at 11:30 a.m. at Shaublin Auditorium, 21100 E. 11 Mile Rd, St. Clair Shores. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in James’ name to the Down River Helping Hands of Marine City.
